I was disappointed. We had Groupon tickets, and called the day before to also check on a brunch they advertised. They told us over the phone the brunch was cancelled, but what they didn't say was the mansion was also closed for a wedding. Nor was that closure mentioned on the website. So we get there for the tour only, and when that couldn't happen? Even the restaurant was closed until further notice for 'personal' reasons. Maybe they meant personnel, but that isn't what the sign said. We were told to come back tommorow, but we were only there for the day. Bummer.
Didn’t have one ! The web page says it opens at 9am not true it’s 9:30 . They only give true at certain times every day it doesn’t say that no where! So we didn’t take one on the day we were there. Going to coming back through tried to call that morning they didn’t answer phone till 10:30 that morning.
We went to Halloween event there that was outside. Didn't go into the mansion.
OMG this is amazing! We decided to do this really on a whim. We did the groupon which was $24 for two admission tickets to the tour. The regular price is $24/person. I would totally pay the full $24 to do it! We had the manager of the mansion, Steven Whitson, as our tour guide and he was amazing! Super personable, super knowledgeable, and a great musician! He actually gave us a mini concert in the great room. I'm not sure if that is a standard for the tours since they employ all musicians or if it was a special thing, either way his music is amazing and we ended up buying four of his CDs at the end. This is HIGHLY recommended!
Great everything really. The restaurant is tasty though service is a little slow. The paved walking trails are smooth and well maintained. The dirt trail around the back of the mansion is very well maintained and excellent. We have not done the zip lines but they look fun. The distillery offers free tastings and the staff is very nice. The winery offers tastings as well for a small fee.
